Product Name: KUKA KR16 Shot Blasting Robot Screen

Features: Dust-proof, oil-proof, wear-resistant

Protection For Applications: Sandblasting, shot blasting

Application Scope: KUKA industrial robot

Size Specification: Custom-fit for KUKA KR16

The KUKA KR16 shot blasting robot screen, part number TKR16D11, is a custom protective barrier engineered exclusively for KUKA KR16 industrial robots deployed inside sandblasting and shot blasting booths. In abrasive blasting workshops, robots are continuously assaulted by high-speed metal shots, sand grains, fine dust and oil contamination. Without reliable shielding, abrasive particles penetrate joint gaps, abrade robot surface coatings and damage seals, reducers and internal wiring harnesses. This causes mechanical sticking, accelerated component wear, frequent maintenance and costly unplanned downtime for automated blasting production lines.

This robot screen is constructed from heavy-duty multi-layer composite fabric with three key properties: dust-proof, oil-proof and wear-resistant. It delivers robust physical protection for sandblasting and shot blasting processes. The tough fabric barrier intercepts high-velocity abrasive media, fine dust particles and oil splashes. It prevents granular debris from invading articulated joints, gearboxes, cable assemblies and sealing structures, mitigating scratch damage and abrasive erosion generated during continuous blasting cycles.

Precision fabricated based on the original 3D mechanical profile of KUKA KR16 robot, this robot screen closely conforms to each joint contour. It does not restrict robot rotation, arm swing and full working-range movement during automated blasting operations. Designed with practical quick-release fasteners, the robot screen supports fast on-site installation, removal and regular dust and debris cleaning. No hardware modification to the original KUKA robot unit is required.

It is widely adopted in metal surface treatment workshops, foundries, ship repair factories and heavy industry blasting production lines. This KUKA KR16 shot blasting robot screen reduces abrasive-induced equipment failures, cuts spare-part consumption and extends the service life of KUKA KR16 robot. It serves as an essential protective accessory to guarantee stable continuous operation for automatic sandblasting and shot blasting robotic cells.
