This fusion‑press forming machine is purpose‑built for one‑segment and multi‑segment forming of large‑size optical fiber panel preforms. It guarantees strict technical specifications including image distortion, optical performance and dark‑spot indicators for finished optical fiber panels.
Working on vacuum fusion‑press principles, the equipment heats precisely arranged optical materials inside moulds under vacuum conditions and maintains stable temperature. The press applies uniform pressure to the mould to complete vacuum fusion of composite fibers. Uniform temperature distribution across all fiber sections is strictly maintained throughout heating cycles.
The complete machine consists of a hydraulic press unit, travelling mechanism, guide rails and electric control system. The press adopts single‑column gantry‑type construction with movable base and rack‑and‑pinion positioning. Core technical parameters include 60‑ton press force, travelling positioning accuracy of ±0.5 mm and 9.5 m guide rail length.
Three core subsystems ensure stable operation. First, the control system uses Siemens S7‑1200 PLC with Profinet / Profibus‑DP industrial bus modules. It exchanges data with servo travelling units and peripheral hardware, performing centralized monitoring for logic operation, equipment status, HMI interaction and safety protection.
Second, the travelling drive system integrates servo motors, encoders and holding brakes. Brakes lock the axis during static status and release during movement, delivering fast response, low inertia and smooth motion for accurate positioning.
Third, press‑pressure control and displacement detection realize closed‑loop hydraulic regulation. The PLC modulates proportional integral valves and variable hydraulic pumps to adjust ram speed according to process curves. Pressure‑sensor feedback enables real‑time closed‑loop hydraulic‑pressure control, supporting fast response and smooth pressure transitions.
This machine fulfills optical‑fiber hot‑press forming, pressure‑curve precision control, automatic press travelling, positioning, pressurization and pressure relief. Gap‑compensation for moving axes secures high‑accuracy material deformation outcomes. It is reliable production equipment for optical‑fiber‑panel manufacturing.
