Developed and manufactured by Truman, the long-stroke heavy-duty billet handling truss manipulator is a professional two-axis industrial handling robot tailored for heavy steel billet transportation. Featuring an ultra-long 18-meter X-axis stroke and a maximum load capacity of 3.7 tons, this heavy-duty truss robot delivers stable and efficient automatic handling for large and heavy steel billet workpieces in metallurgical and heavy industrial production lines.
This equipment adopts a two-axis structural design with only X-axis and Z-axis movement, no Y-axis displacement, ensuring higher structural rigidity and operational stability for heavy-load scenarios. It supports independent handling operations for inlet and outlet grippers. The inlet gripper covers a stroke of 15170mm from the first to the sixth station, while the outlet gripper achieves a 15150mm stroke from the seventh to the second station, with a single gripper maximum stroke of 15400mm. The standard operating stroke is fixed at two-station spacing to adapt to standardized production rhythms.
The manipulator supports dual operating modes to meet diverse production needs. In automatic mode, it strictly performs fixed two-station handling without cross-station movement to ensure stable cyclic production. In manual mode, flexible cross-station handling is available for equipment debugging, workpiece adjustment and flexible production scheduling.
It is compatible with diversified steel billet specifications, adapting to outer diameters of 450–1278mm, inner diameters of 150–700mm, widths of 218–787mm and a maximum workpiece weight of 3700kg. Built with high-strength Q235 steel, the overall dimension reaches 21600×5150×6950mm, with a 380V voltage and 40KW total power. It achieves a positioning accuracy of ±3mm and a stable cycle beat of 80 seconds. The X-axis adopts friction drive with a speed of 0.3m/s and 18000mm stroke, while the Z-axis uses a winch lifting drive, with a 1500mm stroke and 0.1m/s operating speed.
With ultra-long stroke, super heavy-load capacity and high operational stability, this two-axis truss manipulator effectively replaces manual heavy handling, improves production efficiency and reduces operational risks, becoming a reliable automated core equipment for heavy industrial billet production lines.
