Anode Plate Handling Gantry

The anode plate handling gantry robot is a customized three-axis automated handling system independently designed and manufactured by Truman, specially developed for heavy-duty workpiece transfer in smelting and refining workshops. It realizes fully unmanned and intelligent handling of heavy anode plates, effectively solving the problems of low efficiency, high labor intensity and unstable manual operation in traditional workshop transfer processes.

This gantry robot undertakes the core transfer work in the refining workshop. It automatically picks single anode plates from the cooling pool and accurately transports them to the single-chain conveyor. Equipped with a rotatable lifting tool, the machine can grab anode plates in the north-south direction from the cooling pool and rotate them 90 degrees to complete east-west discharging, perfectly matching the workshop’s assembly line operation logic. In addition, the robot supports seamless data interaction with factory MES production management systems and raw material sales information systems, realizing full-process digital monitoring and traceability of production data.

Adapted to heavy industrial working conditions, the robot is compatible with standard anode plates weighing 380kg to 450kg, with a maximum load capacity of 500kg. The workpiece dimension (excluding lugs) is 988×976×54mm, fully meeting the specifications of conventional smelting anode plates. Featuring stable and efficient operation, the equipment achieves a production cycle of 25 seconds per piece, greatly improving workshop transfer efficiency.

In terms of performance parameters, the robot delivers a positioning accuracy of ±2mm, ensuring precise and stable repeated handling. It adopts gear and rack drive for X and Z axes, and gear ring drive for the R rotary axis, with reliable transmission and strong load resistance. The X-axis travel reaches 4150mm (speed: 35m/min), the Z-axis travel is 2250mm (speed: 20m/min), and the R-axis supports 90° rotation at a speed of 5r/min. The overall equipment dimension is 8700×1600×7600mm, featuring a compact and rigid structure suitable for long-term continuous operation in harsh refining workshop environments.
