The automatic barrel cover opening and closing gantry manipulator is a high-precision automated handling solution designed for industrial barrel feeding and packaging production lines. It independently completes automatic grabbing, moving and palletizing of barrel covers, fully replacing manual operation to streamline barrel circulation workflows and improve overall production automation.
The equipment main body is welded with high-strength Q235A steel, ensuring excellent structural rigidity, stability and long-term operational durability. This 2-axis handling gantry robot consists of X-axis, Z-axis, customized gripper and support columns. Driven by servo motors matched with planetary reducers, synchronous belts and rack-and-pinion transmission structures, it delivers fast response, stable operation and high positioning accuracy. The end gripper adopts suction cup and cover clamping mechanism, perfectly meeting industrial requirements for load capacity, running speed and precision to support high-efficiency continuous production.
This automated system supports standardized barrel cover palletizing with a maximum of 20 layers. The overall palletizing dimension reaches 1078×1078×1205mm with a total load weight within 1000kg, adapting to mainstream industrial storage and handling standards. Featuring precise positioning of ±1mm, 1800mm X-axis stroke and 1250mm Z-axis stroke, the robot runs at a maximum speed of 20m/min (X-axis) and 14m/min (Z-axis), achieving a stable production beat of over 40 barrels per hour and supporting 21-hour long-time continuous operation.
The whole workflow realizes intelligent linkage of WMS, WCS and RCS systems. The WMS system releases empty barrel supply tasks in advance according to central control feeding instructions. The WCS system triggers handling commands, while the RCS robot scheduling system dispatches AGVs to transport empty barrels to the cover opening station. The gantry manipulator automatically removes barrel covers, and AGVs transfer empty barrels to the feeding station.
After quantitative feeding is completed, the system triggers the covering process. AGVs carry full barrels back to the gantry workstation for automatic capping, then transport finished barrels to the lifting station. The whole closed-loop operation realizes unmanned cover opening, capping and barrel handling, effectively reducing labor costs, eliminating manual errors and improving production safety and consistency.
